With all the variations in topography, weather patterns and scenery your sure to find someplace in Oklahoma to call home.
I live and work in what is known as 'Green Country' which is in the North East section of Oklahoma. Home prices in this area are quite varied as is the style of homes and there is something for everyone. Tulsa sports large luxury homes or smaller city dwellings and now with revitalization of downtown, lofts and townhomes in highrise buildings.
If the country is more your thing then you have only to drive north about 15 miles to see small town living at its best. A little farther out and you will be in farm and ranch areas where horses are always welcome. Always dreamed of raising your own chickens for farm fresh eggs and a garden to grow your own vegetables and fruits? Owasso, Collinsville, Oologah, Talala all offer larger home lots and unplatted (unregulated) areas.
Are you a boating fanatic, well there are several lakes in and around the Tulsa area. Oologah and Skiatook are Corp of Engineer lakes and offer boating ramps, campgrounds, restrooms and day areas for family fun. There are many other smaller lakes to be enjoyed as well.
